The number of cancelled construction contracts is increasing

The construction industry is currently facing many obstacles, including rising interest rates, inflation and material shortages. 40% of the new residential construction projects planned for next year will not come to fruition because companies in this sector are cancelling contracts en masse.
According to a spokesperson for the German Association of Independent Property and Housing Companies (BFW), this is not just a temporary slump, but the most drastic slump in the entire construction industry.
