Wienroth Immobilien GmbH & Co. KG donates to new gymnasium
Exercise, sport and play are fun and contribute significantly to a healthy lifestyle. Regular sports lessons at school promote teamwork and the personal development of children and young people. This also applies to the 330 pupils at Jena Waldorf School, but to this day the school still lacks its own gymnasium.
Since the school was founded in 1991, sports lessons have been held in a gymnasium in Göschwitz, which the Waldorf School has to share with several other users.
This is now set to change. The purchase of a plot of land in the immediate neighbourhood of the school at the beginning of the year opens up new prospects. A suitable building site has been found, and now it is time to put the financing of the new building on a solid footing. The first step in this direction was taken by Jena property agent Thomas Wienroth, who was responsible for the sale of the land. With a donation of €10,000, he is sending a positive signal in favour of social commitment in the region.
For Peter Häuser, Commercial Director of the Freie Waldorfschule, this is the starting signal for a project close to his heart that will certainly need many more supporters.
